Each year we ask that co-ordinators ensure they record the volunteering efforts of their group via a google form.
Why do we do this?
This information is collated by me at the end of financial year and is reported to DEECA who fund the Facilitator position through a grant. This is a non negotiable requirement of our grant acquittal.
This information also forms part of our annual report and helps us showcase the enormous amount of work which volunteers contribute through Landcare in Wodonga.
The key membership questions asked in the grant reporting are:
- A. Membership – number of individuals
- B. Membership – number of new members in 2023-24
- C. Number of active volunteers in 2023-24
For incorporated groups we ask you to provide this information at the end of each year.
For unincorporated groups WULN manages your membership register and has access to this information.
The key environmental volunteering questions asked in the grant reporting are:
- Please estimate total hours of environmental volunteering these individuals undertook between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024
- Percentage of hours spent doing on-ground Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects and works
(planting, weed control, pest animal control, fencing, flora and fauna surveys, etc.) - Percentage of hours spent doing learning and training
(eg guest speakers, training courses, field days, demonstrations) - Percentage of hours spent doing administration, planning, decision-making, reporting
(eg meetings, people surveys, finance, applying for and reporting on grants etc.) - Percentage of hours spent doing promotion, communications and recruitment for the group
(eg newsletters, signage, website maintenance, etc.)
The WULN Group Activities google form is based around these questions.

A very big THANK YOU in advance to all the co-ordinators for helping to facilitate the collection of all this important information.
